Situated on an upland sheep farm and enjoying a considerable degree of seclusion, whilst not totally isolated, the cottage has recently been upgraded and provides a surprising amount of accommodation.

Only five minutes by car to the picturesque town of Gatehouse of Fleet which is well provided for with a good variety of hotels and restaurants, two mini markets plus a delightful and testing nine hole golf course, tennis courts, river and loch fishings (by permit in season) and other visitor attractions.

There are several sandy beaches and rocky coves very close by and, within walking distance of the cottage, one can gain access to extensive walks through hill and forestry ground plus a delightful right of way down the valley to the town.
