Ecomanagement, yesterday's knowledge, tomorrow's know-how

Over the last two years the Gatehouse the Gatehouse Development Initiative has been working with partners from across Europe on a project designed to transfer rural skills from one generation to the next.  It is an Erasmus+ project called Eco-management, yesterday's knowledge, tomorrow's know-how.  On Wednesday 25th September the GDI will be presenting the results of the project at a seminar in the Mill on the Fleet at 10am.  See the work of young people building walls in Cally Woods and carrying out conservation work at Carstramon Wood and learning about cheese making at Rainton.  As well as working with young people the project has involved local community volunteers in maintaining the local environment.  All are welcome at the Mill on the Fleet to learn more about the project.
