‘Voice of an Angel’ Treat at Gatehouse of Fleet Burns Supper

The Gatehouse of Fleet Burns Club has scooped Stranraer’s Robyn Stapleton as the top-of-the-bill entertainment for its Annual Burns Supper in the Murray Arms Hotel on Friday 6th February 2015. Not only was Robyn the 2014 Scottish Young Traditional Singer of the Year but she also recently won the coveted Dumfries and Galloway Life magazine’s ‘Person of the Year’ award which described her as having the ‘voice of an angel.’ The songs of Robert Burns are dear to her heart so those attending the Burns Supper are in for a real treat.

Other highlights will include the Immortal Memory delivered by renowned photographer Andy Hall from Stonehaven, the homeland of Burns’ father William Burnes, and the children of Gatehouse of Fleet School reciting their prize-winning pieces from the school competition. Tickets for what should be a memorable night are available from Pauline Logan at  jim.wml@btinternet.com
