Secrets of Trusty's Hill revealed

Archaeologists Ronan Toolis and Christopher Bowles will reveal the secrets of Trusty's Hill at a talk at 2 pm in the Community Centre, Gatehouse of Fleet on Saturday 6 April.

The archaeological team which was in charge of the dig at Trusty's Hill last May will be coming to the Community Centre on 6 April to give a talk on the findings made last year.

The talk  Trusty's Hill and the Dark Age Kingdoms of Scotland will  reveal striking new evidence that Trusty's Hill was once a royal stronghold, where powerful kings once briefly dominated northern Britain during the Dark Ages.

Everyone is very welcome to this free talk which will take place at 2 pm in the Community Centre.

The Gatehouse Development Initiative has been fortunate enough to win a grant from the Heritage Lottery fund for an All Our Stories project entitled Gatehouse of Fleet in the Dark Ages, which will be building on the archeological evidence to help put Gatehouse on the map of must see ancient sites.
