    21 pupils aged between 7 and 9 years from Gatehouse Primary School have just celebrated the completion of their seashore project, with an artwork for the school which is a reminder of creative and busy learning days on the beach at Cardoness and in the classroom.

The Mill on the Fleet


The Mill on the Fleet is a restored Mill, once part of Gatehouse's main mill complex.  It is now a visitor and exhibition centre with a varied programme of temporary exhibitions throughout the year, as well as displays on the history and heritage of Gatehouse and the Fleet Valley.  The Mill also houses the Tourist Information Centre, the Riverside Café, a shop, and a bookshop. Dundrennan Abbey

Bluebells


Bluebells
During the early summer the woodlands around Gatehouse are carpeted with bluebells.  Both Castramont and Cally Woods are particularly popular for viewing them. More.  

Caerlaverock


Caerlaverock Castle
