Glenquicken Stone Circle

A stone circle of 28 close-set low boulders. It measures 50 feet in diameter and the centre is occupied by a granite boulder nearly 6' high. A gap between two boulders on the west side suggests one stone has been removed, otherwise the circle is complete.

A short distance away to the west and visible above the ground is a cist burial site from which any cairn there was has now been completely removed.  Reaching the site requires crossing farmland and care should be taken of stone dykes and fences. The site is about 150 yards from the Corse o' Slakes/Old Military Road between Creetown and Skyreburn: NGR: NX 50964 58223.
