Meet the Team

Leading the programme is James Hutchinson (middle) together with local team Sean Flanagan (left) and Shaun Burnie (right), both well-known Gatehouse residents who share James’s enthusiasm for harnessing community power in the fight to contain global warming. James is a graduate in Environmental Science from Lancaster University and has also spent a year studying Carbon Management at Glasgow University.

Welcome to the Gatehouse Carbon Action Project through which we aim to help Gatehouse of Fleet reduce its carbon footprint by 22% within a year.

Gatehouse Carbon Action is a project of the Gatehouse Development Initiative and is led by members of the Gatehouse community. We aim to empower local people to make a significant, positive change to their lives and to the wider community by helping them to reduce carbon emissions and save money.

A carbon survey programme will offer members of the community a free home visit by a local community researcher. We will measure your carbon footprint and help you to find clever and easy ways to reduce it ... and save you money!
