Cally Story

In Cally Story, Nic Coombey provides a fascinating account of the development of the parks and pleasure grounds of Cally, Gatehouse of Fleet and reveals how an 18th century designed landscape has evolved to meet current needs but still remains a special place to be explored.  The author tells us of the many people who have played their part in shaping this unique landscape with its veteran trees in a parkland setting, complex burns, criss-crossing through the woodland, and a variety of hidden buildings, each with their own story.

Cally Story is a product of the Management Plan for Cally Park and Woods and the GDI acknowledges the funding received from Scottish Natural Heritage.
